JEFFRO TULL

Bicycles, or rather fixies, cluttered the outside of the Rickshaw stop as I impatiently waited as the bouncer gave my sister a long speech about bringing a toddler into the show (me) and that I am not to have alcoholic beverages of any sort. The music was pumping loudly and once he set us free I pushed myself to the front, ironically I was one of the smallest people there, the show was most certainly a tall doodz fest. I walked in during Ty Segall just as they finished up their set with a Black Sabbath cover (HECK YEAH!).

After the Ty Segall set, the (now somewhat diminished) crowd had retreated to the bar for their beers and to idly stand 10 feet away to keep their cool exterior. My nerdy unintoxicated self awkwardly danced because Prince had filled the room (thank you Jeff the Brotherhood).

Once the band entered the stage everyone started head banging and dancing like it was a late 80's basement show. The Brotherhood Of Jake and Jamin fed off the crowds energy as they rolled into one song after the other. Girls kicked there shaggy hair back and forth, Dudes awkwardly bobbled to the music, and the hardcore fans pushed and shimmied to every note.

The show was a success and ended with a short interview with Jake.
